Once home to the Blue Waters seafood factory—renowned for processing Tasmania’s finest Crayfish, scallops and abalone—this iconic location later became Bicheno Winery, home of the acclaimed Apsley Gorge Wines led by celebrated winemaker Brian Franklin

Now, Myles Franklin, son of Brian, together with business partner Shelley Bickerstaff, are breathing fresh life into this stunning setting. Le Gulch Wine Bar will pay homage to Apsley Gorge by showcasing a special collection of rare and back-vintage wines together with current vintages.

We are ready to welcome a new generation of guests to experience the magic of this east coast location and catch up with old friends.

A warm and relaxed coastal wine bar, Le Gulch will offer a curated list of local wines, alongside a seasonal snack menu—ready to welcome locals, visitors, and families alike to gather, sip, and enjoy this beautiful spot where wine meets the sea.
